COVID-19 measures

Update as of January 12th 2021

Due to the current revival of COVID-19 and the declared lockdown that has been in effect since December 15, we are unfortunately forced to adjust our treatments to the current RIVM guidelines.

That is why we are converting all regular treatment sessions to online sessions via video calling until Tuesday 9 February.

  • Intake sessions will continue to take place face to face at our location at IJsbaanpad 9 in Amsterdam
  • Sessions with our psychiatrist Edwin Oudemans also continue to take place face to face at our location at IJsbaanpad 9 in Amsterdam

If you prefer not to have the intake or interview with the psychiatrist on location, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss the options.

If you have an appointment on location, we would like to emphasize that we are unfortunately forced to immediately ask everyone with demonstrable symptoms (cold, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat and cough) to leave our building. Unfortunately, we cannot distinguish between, for example, hay fever and corona. We have to draw one line in this.

To avoid this unpleasant situation, we would like to ask everyone with these complaints to contact us in advance on our general number 085 273 5193. The scheduled call on location will then be rescheduled.

A masking obligation also applies in all general areas of PandZuid in general (the building in which we are located), as well as specifically at Focus GGZ.

Thanks for understanding!

Measures around COVID-19

To guarantee safety for our clients and employees, we have taken various measures in accordance with the guidelines of the RIVM and GGZ Nederland. On this page we explain what you can expect from us and what we ask from our clients.

1. Health check

Prior to your arrival, it is important that you perform a health check. It is important that you can answer any question with NO, so that the appointment can actually take place at our location:
  1. Have you had one or more of the following complaints in the past 24 hours or at the moment: a cold, cough, shortness of breath and / or fever (starting from 38 degrees Celsius)?
  2. Do you currently have a housemate or family member with one of these complaints?
  3. Have you contracted the new coronavirus (determined by a laboratory test) and has this been diagnosed in the past 7 days?
  4. Did any of your housemates / family members contract the new coronavirus (determined by a laboratory test) and did you have contact with this housemate / family member less than 14 days ago while he or she still had complaints?
  5. Are you in quarantine because you had direct contact with someone who has been diagnosed with the corona virus?
Have you answered one or more questions with YES, but do you not feel ill?
Then the session can take place via Zoom. We ask you to let us know in time, so that the therapist can sit behind a laptop.
We reserve the right to cancel the appointment if the therapist suspects that one of the symptoms above are observed. We will ask you to leave the location and we will gladly schedule a new appointment via Zoom.

2. Together at our office

We kindly ask you to wear a facemask at all times in the common areas of our office.
In addition to the health check, we want to guarantee safety at our location for both our clients and our practitioners. This means that we have implemented measures in accordance with the guidelines of the RIVM and GGZ Nederland, which we must put into practice together.
What can you expect from us:
  • Therapists disinfect their hands before and after each session. For this purpose, a pump with disinfecting gel is installed in every treatment room.
  • The seats are more than 1.5 meters apart in the waiting area.
  • You will be picked up by the therapist from the waiting room.
  • No hands are shaken as a greeting.
  • Within the treatment room, the distance is 2 meters between the practitioner and the client.
What do we ask of you:
  • Please do not come earlier then 5 minutes before your appointment. In this way we have as few people as possible at our location and in our waiting room at the same time.
  • Please disinfect your hands upon arrival, for this purpose there is a pump with disinfecting gel at the entrance of our location on the first floor.
  • Bring your own bottle of water or something else to drink if you like, as we cannot offer you coffee or tea.
  • Be aware that you cannot use our toilets. You can use the toilets on the hallway of the officebuilding.
